The position

Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager, the Supporter Care Coordinator is the first point of contact for Amnesty donors. As such, this is a pivotal role in ensuring that our community of supporters are well loved and encouraged in their engagement with Amnesty International Aotearoa New Zealand.   

This is an external-facing customer service role, focused on strengthening our connection and engagement with supporters. This involves assisting potential, current and previous supporters of Amnesty International Aotearoa New Zealand by responding to queries through phone, email, mail or in-person, and processing information in our supporter database or other relevant systems.  

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic people-person, who is excited about engaging with supporters on a regular basis. You should have strong communication skills, a keen interest in human rights and a willingness to try new things.

About you

The ideal candidate for this role would have: 

Strong communication and/or customer service experience in a role that could easily cross into this one
Demonstrated experience in customer service, administration and data entry
Organising and logistical coordination skills with experience in a dynamic and high-volume work environment
Experience in or familiarity with fundraising strategies, including retention
Be a star communicator – confident and clear over the phone and email.

This is a part-time role (24 hours per week) based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) and applicants need to live in Tāmaki Makaurau.

The salary band for this role is $54,000 - $57,000 pro rata.
