TITLE: STOP Violence Against women VIP Program Offender Prevention Coordinator
HOURS: Part-Time 20 hours per week, some evenings, weekends (as needed)
FUNDED THROUGH: Governor’s Office of Youth Faith and Families
SUPERVISED BY: Director of Community Initiatives
LOCATION: Pinal County
SALARY: Part-Time, $19/hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

STOP Project VIP (Violence Is Preventable) is a program in Mohave and Pinal Counties of Arizona that implements prevention and intervention approaches to end violence against women in high-risk and underserved Arizona. Project VIP includes programming targeting youth, survivors of violence/human trafficking, community-bystanders, and offenders of violence against women. The focus for all approaches is to prevent or end violence against women. The Offender Prevention Coordinator provides evidence-based education for individuals who perpetrate abuse/violence against women to end cycles of violence in Pinal County. Strategies may include education through a survivor-informed framework to change behaviors in offenders. This position will work with individuals of varying cultures.

Facilitate evidence-based Creating a Process of Change for Men who Batter (CPCMB).
Provide culturally appropriate services to participants.
Maintain confidentiality of participants and their families.
Increase participant and community knowledge through use of social media.
Facilitate evidence-based training including ACE’s and Trauma Informed Care.
Conduct outreach to the community through health fairs, presentations, and other community events/meetings.
Work closely with Pinal County law enforcement, courts and probation to recruit participants.

Listen to participant concerns and provide brief intervention and referrals when needed.
Distribute media-based materials via social media, and other media outlets.
Deliver other presentations and programs as directed.
Utilize a trauma-informed approach in all aspects of the project.
Obtain and input data, prepare reports, compile statistics, complete grant requirements.
Complete all fund source and AZYP reporting requirements.
Collaboration with AZYP’s Communications and Development Director to create messaging on increase support for survivors and increase community knowledge about DV prevention.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of actions and outcomes for all funding streams.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Initiating and independent worker. Creative, flexible, collaborator, team-player
Experience working with youth, young adults, survivors of domestic violence and/or human trafficking and/or diverse groups of people OR Bachelor's Degree in related field + related experience a plus.
Prior successful experience facilitating or leading classes/instruction a plus.
Knowledge of rural Arizona, prevention, domestic violence and/or human trafficking and alcohol and substance misuse by youth, young adults, and adults.
Excellent presentation, oral, written communication skills; knowledge of Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point a plus

REQUIREMENTS

Finger printing and Background Check; CPR/First Aid Certification.
AZ Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and ability to travel countywide and statewide.
Automobile Insurance in the amount of $100,000/$300,000
Some evening and weekend hours as needed.
