About NatureServe For 50 years, NatureServe has been the authoritative source for biodiversity data in North America. Through an international network of 60+ Natural Heritage Programs we work with more than 1,000 conservation scientists to collect, analyze, and share the most comprehensive data available on rare and endangered species and ecosystems. Our work provides the public, policymakers, and conservation leaders with the information they need to protect the natural world. Together with our Network, we maintain the most complete dataset on over 100,000 species and ecosystems, helping answer essential questions: What elements of biodiversity are most at risk?
