Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Senior Automation Engineer

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Position Location: This position is an remote position available in the following states: Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington (state), West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).

Position Summary:

Job Responsibilities

Technical Leadership:

Identify, pilot, select, and implement appropriate solutions, potentially across multiple technology stacks and integrated solutions

Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical strategies and automation solutions

Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture, design, and coding guidelines

Contribute to the development of user and administrator documentation

Architecture And Design:

Architect and design complex automation solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security

Research and integrate other intelligent automation technologies into the framework, inclusive of OCR, NLP, AI, and ML

Evaluate and recommend technologies and tools to enhance development processes

Analyze and solve complex technical problems independently, providing innovative and effective solutions

Contribute to the optimization of existing processes, products & solutions

Coding And Development:

Lead the development of high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code

Drive the adoption of best practices, coding standards, and design patterns

Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards and promote knowledge sharing

Monitor and measure the effectiveness of automations and troubleshoot as needed

Provide support for production automation

Demonstrated communication capabilities with key stakeholders

Minimum Requirements:

5+ years of relevant experience
Experience with UiPath
Understanding of agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
Experience working with Azure Compute and Azure DevOps products
Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, VB, C# or .NET

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience developing custom code that will be utilized in automated solutions is strongly preferred
Experience working in the Healthcare industry
Experience with IA technologies (OCR/IDP, NLP/NLG, AI/ML)

For applicants within Washington State, the following hiring range will be applied: $100,464.00 to$167,419.20 /annually.

Job Summary

The Senior Automation Engineer designs and implements reliable and scalable automation solutions, identifies and applies automation across diverse technology stacks. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to shape technical strategies and participates in the architecture and design of solutions, prioritizing factors such as reliability and scalability. Contributes to crafting high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code while actively providing support for production processing and monitoring of automation effectiveness.

The work includes:
•Understanding the domain of the software problem and/or functionality, the interfaces between hardware and software, and the overall software characteristics
•Using programming, scripting, and/or database languages to write the software code
•Supporting software test engineering, DevOps, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding software enhancements
•Applying knowledge of software development best practices, including technical design specifications, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

Possesses key certification(s) or other credential(s) determined central to the systems or applications supported.

An Experienced Professional applies practical knowledge of job areas typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities typically include:
• Works independently with general supervision.
• Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex.
• May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
