Description

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul operates Community Engagement Services to help individuals work towards self-sufficiency and address systemic change. One of those programs is the Getting Ahead Program. The Getting Ahead (GA) Program helps individuals and the community become more financially stable, through Getting Ahead Workshops, Staying Ahead Support, and the Bridging Seminar. The Getting Ahead Administrative Coordinator supports all aspects of this program, ensuring program success and meeting community needs.

The Getting Ahead Administrative Coordinator will:

Complete administrative tasks, including printing and material preparation.
Coordinate event reminders, maintain contact lists, and provide concise communication about the program.
Provide event support, including setup and cleanup, for Getting Ahead Workshops, Staying Ahead Support, and Bridging Seminars.
Responsible for filing and storage of documents, both physical and electronic.
Support Program Manager in efforts, including media and communications

Qualifications

Work with the Getting Ahead Program Manager to implement the program.
Spanish fluency.
In addition to providing the program in English, ensure the GA program meets the needs of the Spanish-speaking community.
Attends regular community meetings regarding Getting Ahead and St. Vincent de Paul.
Adherence to the highest ethical standards, personally and professionally.
A high level of openness and willingness to receive feedback/suggestions from superiors and others, and to learn new skills to improve job performance.
Evidence of deep alignment with the St. Vincent de Paul Mission and Values.
Demonstrates a commitment to serve all people with respect and compassion.
Must be sensitive to and respect cultural diversity amongst clients, staff, and volunteers and able to work with diverse racial, ethnic, and economic groups.
Able to speak, write and understand English.
Possess basic computer skills.
Flexible work schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to set appropriate limits, work under deadlines and multi-task.
Ability to organize, prioritize, self-motivate, and deliver results.
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Possess a strong work ethic.
Successfully pass Law Enforcement background screening.
Works in a spirit of cooperation with all external and internal stakeholders.
All other duties as assigned.
Highschool diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver’s license.
Minimum 2 years’ experience serving homeless or at-risk families and/or individuals in crisis.
Must be able to comply with complex governmental regulations, policies and procedures and demonstrate thorough document compliance efforts and activities.
Must be proficient with data management and information systems and have basic knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
