Description

The Community Support Specialist I provide services to individuals with intellectual disabilities who are living in a congregate HUD apartment building. Under the direction of the Program Supervisor, this individual is responsible for involving Individuals served in a person-centered approach to planning and participating in habilitation and enrichment services. This position will work alongside the program supervisor and other team members to ensure that the persons served have a safe, secure, and supportive living environment.

$1,000 Sign-on bonus

10 am to 6 pm or 11 am to 7 pm. Every other weekend off and alternating Friday and Monday

Qualifications

Associate degree in a health-related field and one (1) year related MH/PD/ID, Residential or Human Services experience
OR a High School Diploma or GED and three years of MH/PD/ID, Residential or Human Services experience
Excellent communication and customer service skills
The ability to use core rehabilitation skills and to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
The ability to perform basic computer data entry required
