Job Summary:
Women’s Philanthropy Director will be responsible for identifying, engaging, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding current and prospective women donors within our Federation and family of agencies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Directly manage the Women’s Philanthropy portfolio including Lions of Judah, Lions Step Up program and Jewish Women’s Foundation programs.
- Collaborate with the volunteer leadership involved with Women’s Philanthropy and work in partnership with the them to identity, initiate, and develop solicitation efforts, enhance current initiatives, and implement fundraising activities.
- Personally cultivate, solicit and steward a significant portfolio of women donors and prospects, securing gifts through face-to-face solicitations.
- Integrate and initiate endowment conversations to create planned giving opportunities
- Partner with colleagues across the Federation and our family of agencies across the organization to enhance the philanthropic engagement and leadership development of all women donors, prospects and lay leaders.
- Utilize considerable initiative, independence, originality, and responsibility for developing new methods and techniques for fundraising by women.
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Visual communications a strong plus.
- Event planning skills a plus: demonstrated attention to detail in a relevant context a must.
- Fundraising or nonprofit experience plus strong project management skills are preferred.
- Proficient in MS office applications.
- Comfortable with using customer relationship management databases.
- Ability to plan and manage own work flow, priorities and results accomplished.
- Requires the ability to present and disseminate data to various levels.
Additional Requirements:
- Proficient PC skills: Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word
- Ability to perform work that is routine and strong attention to details
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent project management, customer service, organization, and time management skills.
