Summary of Position: Under the immediate supervision of the VP of Behavioral Health, the Clinical Program Manager is responsible for providing clinical leadership and direction for all psychotherapy treatment programs; maintaining accepted standards of practice throughout The Haven on Lincoln; and providing administrative and professional supervision of all behavioral healthcare staff. Additionally, the Clinical Program Manager is responsible for ensuring site oversight in the areas of: licensing regulations, legal and ethical regulations, and clinical supervision. The Clinical Director will be responsible for agency representation, contract monitoring, and billing requirements to ensure comprehensive service delivery. The position provides direct supervision to all clinical site staff including the therapists and peer support specialist.
Position Type: This position is exempt and reports to the VP of Behavioral Health.

- Provide oversight for the Behavioral Health Clinic and help ensure excellence in service delivery for up to 40 residents.
- Develop, update, and implement clinical procedures in accordance with government regulations.
- Ensure billing is in compliance with Medicaid standards.
- Provide individual and group clinical supervision of behavioral health staff.
- Ensure that the clinic meets all contractual goals and funding requirements.
- Assist staff and interns with urgent clinical situations and provide supervisory crisis coverage 24/7.
- May provide individual or group therapy as needed.
- Represent VOA Illinois at meetings with community partners.
- Reports program progress to supervisor; makes written evaluation reports on the progress of the program and performs record-keeping functions required by the agency.
- Participates in agency studies of particular problems or casework practices.
- Assists in compiling behavioral health resources to provide effective referrals to community members and participants.
- Delivers services with sensitivity to the clients’ cultural and socioeconomic characteristics
- Upholds and actively demonstrates investment in the mission and values of Volunteers of America of Illinois.

Work Environment: Generally, this position operates in a professional office environment. The hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Flexibility in the schedule may be requested to accommodate client work/school schedules. This position requires a rotating on-call component.
