This internship requires a minimum commitment of 10-15 hours per week for 4 months in either a virtual or hybrid format.
New American Pathways is a local 501(c) 3 nonprofit that helps refugees from the moment of arrival in Georgia through their journey to citizenship. Our specially designed programs provide proven pathways for refugees and other immigrants to realize their full potential and dreams as they build new lives. Our comprehensive model is unique. We begin with resettlement services and offer steady guidance and advocacy for each family as they pursue jobs, education, cultural integration, individual and female empowerment, and whatever each person needs on their pathway to succeed. General Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student intern to serve as a digital organizer for Alumni Engagement. This role will focus on fostering connections with alumni, organizing virtual events, and managing digital platforms to enhance alumni involvement. You will play a critical role in maintaining the network and promoting opportunities for alumni to stay engaged with our program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage alumni communication through email newsletters, and other digital platforms.
- Organize virtual alumni events, webinars, and networking opportunities.
- Maintain and update the alumni database, tracking engagement and involvement.
- Collaborate with alumni to encourage their participation in current programs and workshops.
- Assist in creating digital content and resources to highlight alumni success stories.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Experience with digital communication tools.
- Interest in community engagement and alumni relations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity
- Proficiency with email marketing software and basic CRM systems is a plus
