Stepping Stone House is a not-for-profit charity that provides accommodation and personal development for children and young people aged 12-24 years old who through no fault of their own find themselves homeless, at risk of homelessness or unable to live at home. We have a foundation of building resilience through outdoor education and activities.

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Impact, will play a key role in deepening our relationships with philanthropic partners, establishing new partnerships and supporting the growth in revenue in the area of philanthropic trusts and foundations.
What you will be doing – Key Responsibilities
- Secure and grow income by identifying, engaging, and retaining new and existing funders, partners, and philanthropists across mid and major donors, trusts, foundations, bequests, events, and partnerships.
- Build and manage strong stakeholder relationships through proactive outreach, tailored engagement plans, donor stewardship, and regular in-person and online engagement aligned with Stepping Stone House values.
- Contribute to fundraising strategy by researching new opportunities, supporting core philanthropy growth areas, and helping develop initiatives to increase sustainable funding.
- Manage donor pipelines and reporting by maintaining accurate records in Salesforce, tailoring donor journeys, preparing high-quality proposals and presentations, and delivering timely acquittals and evaluations.
- Collaborate effectively across teams by working closely with the Fundraising and Partnerships Manager, Grants Writer, Operations team, and broader organisation to ensure consistent and high-quality messaging.
- Represent Stepping Stone House professionally by attending fundraising events, engaging with stakeholders respectfully, understanding organisational values and programs, and undertaking additional duties as required.
About You – Selection Criteria
- Experience in leading partnerships and fundraising initiatives in the not for profit or related sector
- Demonstrated ability to secure partnerships and high value donations, action fundraising approaches and maintain key relationships.
- Strong influencing, relationship and emotional intelligence skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
- Proven decision-making skills
- Time-management skills and demonstrated ability to work to a deadline
- Creative and analytical thinker with the ability to manage multiple projects
- High level of administrative and organisational qualities with attention to detail
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows based computer applications
- Ability to write, edit, and review documents for internal and external audiences
