Position Summary
KIND seeks a strategic and experienced fundraising professional who will be responsible for developing, managing, and expanding a comprehensive corporate giving program with a strong emphasis on law firms and corporate pro bono partners. This strategic role drives revenue growth by managing a pipeline and portfolio of national corporate donors, with a focus on partners with capacity to give at the six-figure level and above. In collaboration with senior leaders across KIND, the Director, Corporate Philanthropy will develop multi-year engagement pipelines, craft compelling value propositions for corporate audiences, and steward key relationships to maximize philanthropic and sponsorship support.
This position requires a dynamic, entrepreneurial fundraiser with deep experience working with corporate social responsibility (CSR) teams, generals counsel, managing partners, and C-suite executives. The incumbent must be able to navigate complex organizational structures, articulate impact in a data driven manner, and build cross-functional internal collaborations to deliver best in class stewardship. Reporting to the Senior Director of Institutional Development and working in close partnership with the Vice President of Pro Bono Partnerships, the Director, Corporate Philanthropy plays a critical role in the organization’s diversification strategy and long-term sustainability.

Essential Functions- Strategic Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Leads the design, implementation, and growth of a comprehensive corporate philanthropy strategy, with a target of $4-5 million annually with year-over-year growth.
- Works closely with senior leadership to design high-level engagement strategies for top prospects that work in tandem with pro bono engagement efforts.
- Identifies market trends in corporate and law firm giving, including CSR priorities, pro bono culture, and employee engagement interests.
- Creates a robust pipeline of prospects, balancing short-term opportunities with long-term cultivation strategies.
- Develops partnership models such as sponsorships, employee-giving campaigns, and cause-marketing initiatives.
- Collaborates with finance to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for corporate-funded initiatives.
- Grows engagement of KIND’s leadership and Board members in fundraising initiatives, providing coaching and strategy guidance.
- Fundraising and Relationship Management
- Solicits, cultivates, and manages a portfolio of existing and new corporate and law firm philanthropic relationships, building relationships with CSR heads, managing partners, general counsels, foundation officers, and senior executives.
- Secures major philanthropic commitments using a shared value framework to appeal to corporate business and social impact priorities.
- Leads fundraising efforts for KIND’s annual signature event.
- Stewards existing partners with strategic communications, personalized engagement touchpoints, recognition opportunities, and executive-level relationship management.
- Secures and executes key meetings with funders, including preparing KIND senior leadership with agendas and talking points.
- Collaborates with program, communications, and finance teams to align organizational needs with partner interests and deliver accurate reporting on outcomes.
- Develops and maintains strong knowledge of KIND’s program work, priorities, and achievements to effectively represent a wide array of regional, national, and international programs.
- Proposals and Reporting
- Leads the creation of compelling pitch decks, programmatic updates, and other materials tailored to corporate and legal-sector audiences.
- Articulates the organization’s mission, impact, and strategic priorities in a way that resonates with corporate values and industry-specific motivations.
- Leads or supports proposal development and report writing in collaboration with grant writing team. Ensure on-time, high quality submissions that reflect the latest relationship and programmatic developments.
- Partners with marketing and communications colleagues to develop assets and campaigns that elevate the organization’s corporate philanthropy presence.
Qualifications and Requirements- Minimum of Undergraduate degree required.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant fundraising experience, with a strong track record of securing corporate contributions and partnerships.
- Demonstrated success managing a portfolio of corporate donors and securing six-and seven-figure contributions.
- Exceptional relationship building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to strategically engage high-level executives with confidence and poise.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- High integrity, discretion, and emotional intelligence.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Occasional travel for meetings, conferences, and partner engagement events.
- Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends when required for high-priority events or donor meetings.
- Prior experience in utilizing and managing Salesforce or other CRM.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
- Ability to work collaboratively and multi-task in our KIND environment, managing numerous priorities and emerging opportunities.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment; ability to prioritize tasks and delegate as appropriate.
