The Dallas YMCA is seeking an Aquatics Director for our Semones YMCA.
Job Description
The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, established in 1885, consists of 17 branches and a destination camp - all dedicated to building healthy, confident, connected, and secure children, adults, families and communities. We are currently seeking an Aquatics Director to oversee the planning and operations of the aquatics department at our Semones YMCA, including staff supervision, program development, budget management, and planning.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in physical education, recreation or equivalent experience. Three or more years of progressive supervisory experience in an aquatic program, including program development and budget management. Ability to train swim instructors, swim coaches, instructors and lifeguards. Excellent skills in communication, customer service, and organizational management. Requires certification in YMCA Swim Lessons V6, YMCA Lifeguard, YMCA Lifeguard Instructor, CPO and ASHI BLS (or ability to complete all required training within the first 60 days of employment): Preferred Trainer Level Certified in YMCA Swim Lessons V6. Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
