DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the YMCA of the Rockies, which operates a mission-based family and group conference and retreat center serving more than 225,000 guests annually. The Annual and Program Giving Manager develops and implements strategies to strengthen relationships that advance both the mission and philanthropic goals of the YMCA of the Rockies. This role is primarily responsible for leading the annual fund program, fostering donor retention, securing programmatic funding, and managing staff giving initiatives to ensure continued growth and engagement across all giving areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Lead and implement strategies for annual and programmatic giving in collaboration with the Philanthropy Director, colleagues, and volunteers across the Association.
• Serve as the primary liaison to the Board for annual outreach efforts, providing coordination, guidance, and support for their philanthropic engagement.
• Partner with the Philanthropy Director to execute the donor stewardship plan, ensuring relationship-based fundraising and strategic donor movement through the giving pipeline.
• Develop and guide program-specific and restricted giving initiatives that align with Association priorities.
• Meet annual fundraising goals and create strategies to grow the annual fund year over year.
• Develop and execute a donor retention plan aimed at maintaining 60% or more of Summit Club donors annually.
• Plan and coordinate key donor events, including the Summit Club and Spirit Society Dinner, as well as other annual gatherings such as golf outings and member appreciation events.
• Build and manage a portfolio of donors from Colorado and beyond, cultivating relationships to encourage consistent and increased giving over time.
• Foster a philanthropic culture across the Association that emphasizes relationship building and mission engagement among staff, volunteers, and members.
• Design and implement staff giving campaigns that engage full-time, part-time, seasonal employees, and volunteers in meaningful ways.
• Collaborate with the Program and Human Resources departments to establish and grow a robust alumni program.
• Oversee the Columbarium, Memorial Wall, and Bench Giving programs, ensuring timely donor acknowledgment and fulfillment.
• Work with the Central Reservations team to ensure the success of donor-sponsored getaway programs.
• Possess stamina to work in the work environment described.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience relevant to fundraising, donor relations, or program management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with donor management systems such as Raiser’s Edge or similar philanthropic databases preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in all donor and organizational matters.
• Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays for events and donor engagement activities.

• The position operates primarily in an office environment at YMCA of the Rockies, with regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and filing systems.
• The employee needs to be able to move about the property to attend meetings, special events, and donor engagements across the campus.
• This role may occasionally require working outdoors during donor or member events in various weather conditions.
• The employee may need to lift, carry, or move materials and event supplies weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Periods of sitting, standing, bending, or reaching are common throughout the workday.
• The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate, consistent with an office and event setting.
• The position may require a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays to support donor events or Association activities.
• Possess stamina to work in the work environment described.
