QualificationsGeneral Description
The primary responsibility of the Credentialing Specialist position is to facilitate the timely credentialing of applicable staff. They will work with Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs) and private panels for credentialing purposes.
Education and/or Experience
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent education is required for this position. Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and automobile insurance which meets Options’ requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and internet usage is required. Will be required to learn our Electronic Client Records (ECR) system. Must possess good verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing abilities.

Preferred Qualifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Credentialing
-
Facilitate credentialing of new hires with all eligible panels

Facilitate re-Credentialing of applicable staff with CCOs and private panels

Initiate communication with potential new private panels
-
Assist in new panel applications, as needed
-
Verify degrees, licenses, school accreditations, exclusions, and certifications for applicable staff

Maintain staff credentials in ECR

Maintain a Credentialing Panel Roster for all applicable staff

Assist applicable staff in set up with a CAQH, NPPES, and DMAP
-
Participate in private panel committee teleconferences

Requires ability to sustain mental concentration and maintain attention to details. Extended periods of focus and attention and computer use are frequently required.
