DescriptionPosition Summary:
The person in this position will be responsible for the childcare needs of the program. Essential Job Functions include those listed below.
Essential Job Functions:
- Implement child development services, including but not limited to individualized educational and developmental plans, curriculum, daily schedules and lesson plans;
- Tend to children’s immediate needs while in daycare setting (feedings, changing) and ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children in the facility;
- Assure center and records adhere to all agency and county standards, health department standards and funding requirements;
- Act as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team, providing information regarding parent/child interactions and making needed or necessary recommendations and/or referrals as requested by the Project Manager;
- Confer with family members, significant others, staff, and the Project Manager regarding the childs special needs as necessary;
- Document childs behavior and concerns while in daycare setting in progress notes;
- Assist and monitor data collection and statistical reporting and complete Quality Improvement reports as requested;
- Participate in case staffing when necessary;
- Must Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation; and
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
QualificationsEssential Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma is required
Experience and Competencies:
- Excellent communication skills;
- Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion;
- Ability to work well in a team environment;
- Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality;
- Professional appearance and demeanor;
- Must be culturally/linguistically sensitive to populations served;
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare’s vehicle insurance is required; and
- CPR Certification and First Aid Certification.
Working Conditions:
- Work is primarily performed in an office ; and
- Some outdoor activities may be required.
