POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Skills Trainer includes all responsibilities of a DNWest Clinical Procurement Coordinator (CPC) along with additional staff training and development functions. The Clinical Skills Trainer is responsible for ensuring the organ operations staff perform effectively and efficiently, following policy and procedure, meeting all competency requirements. This role functions as a subject matter expert, coach, and mentor to enhance clinical competency. The individual in this position is responsible for ensuring that the staff provides high quality, compliant service always, enabling the realization and maximization of donation opportunities to meet the mission and vision of Donor Network West. As a part of the Clinical Skills and Practices team, this role actively fosters an organizational culture that is based on customer-service, collaboration, support, and constructive feedback for quality improvement

Clinical Responsibilities
In conjunction with and under the direction of the Director of Clinical Skills and Practices, monitors the effectiveness of donor assessment, management, and organ recovery practices and policies to maintain consistent high standards of the organization, as well as excellent service to donor hospital staff, transplant centers, and transplant recipients.While staff are onboarding, the Clinical Skills Trainer assists in scheduling, training, and managing day-to-day activities for new hires, in collaboration with educational development staff and team manager. Tasks include coordinating orientation and training until sign off. Conduct field visits to provide mentoring and coaching, collect performance data, and review processes and procedures. Provide clinical and behavioral performance feedback to orientees manager.Assist in development of simulation scenarios, case reviews, and skills labs to reinforce learning and competency.Collaborate with preceptors and leadership to ensure consistent and standardized clinical training.Coordinate training presentations, training topics, and training activities for organ operations and other department meetings as requested. Provide onboarding, annual, and as needed clinical training, skills workshops, and case reviews.Expected to maintain CPC skills and competency by going onsite with a CPC a minimum of four (4) times annually. As part of organ operations may be called upon to support heavy activity in “all hands on deck” situations
$150,765 - $167,915 a year
Donor Network West takes a market-based approach to pay. All candidates' starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications and interview performance.
