Job Description
City Year Chicago is seeking a Senior Impact Director (SID), whois responsible forthe overall managementandexecution of the day-to-dayImpactoperations and achievement of service outcomes. Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Impact, theSIDis responsible forcollaborating with theImpactOperationsand ServiceSeniorDirectorsto meet all departmental goals and support the overall development and management of the staff. TheSIDsupervises4-6ImpactDirectors who directly manage14-18ImpactManagers, andup to 31school partnerschoolrelationships where we deploynearly 200AmeriCorps into national service.
TheSIDoversees the implementation of allImpactaspects of the City YearImpact, including themanagement and accountability ofImpactDirectorsandImpactManagers in delivering our service,identifyingprofessional development needs and opportunities, strengthening school partnerrelationshipsand supporting the AmeriCorps member experience
TheSIDis also responsible for working to promote the long-term sustainability of the site, fostering strategic relationships with various stakeholders, serving on committees, and providing insight and vision as a resource catalyst. TheSIDalso serves ontheSiteLeadership Team to support strategic planning for events, initiatives,and retreats to foster interdepartmental collaboration and organizational leadership. The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $95,000 annually,commensuratewith experience.
ImpactDirector Management
Coach, manage, and developImpactDirectors through weekly team meetings and one on ones, site visits to schools, performance reviews,and ongoing coaching thatidentifiesprofessional developmentand capacity building opportunities.
TrackImpactDirector portfolios to ensure data, deliverables, team progress, observations, and general service implementationareon track to meet end of year goals.
Partner Relationship Management
AmeriCorps Member Management, Training & Development
Consultwith Senior Impact OperationsDirector andImpact Operationsteamtoensureincident and mandated reports are handledappropriately,documentation issubmittedtimelyandaccurately, andensurethenecessary follow up has occurred.
Consult with the Managing Director of Impact, Senior Service Director, Learning &Developmentteamand Senior Impact Operations Directorto developtrainingscopeandvision for the staff and AmeriCorps members.
Organizational Initiatives & Site Support
Decision Making/Judgment:understands and manages organizational decision-making, including integration across network/departments; effectively communicates, manages,ownsand champions decisions being implemented.
Additional Required Experience and Qualities Needed:
Minimum5+ yearsof team management with a strongtrack recordof results:
Travel to schools throughout Chicagoland required; must have reliable means of transportation (valid driver's license and vehicle or ability to navigate public transit).
