ABOUT THE POSITION
VinUniversity is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced professional to provide financial support in a dynamic, fast-growing academic environment. This role is critical to ensuring efficient financial operations, including budget appraisal, budget monitoring, and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
This position will report directly to the Chief Finance Officer
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Budget Appraisal & Monitoring: Support the appraisal of research project budgets and monitor budget execution to track progress across research projects and research centers following VinUniversity’s regulations.
- Financial Reporting & Record Keeping: Maintain sufficient, accurate, well-organized financial records to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations; consolidate data and input to support reporting purposes.
- Compliance: conduct post-audit inspections on financial aspects according to the approved plan, or irregularly as necessary.
- SAP support: coordinating and resolving issues related to budget implementation and control on SAP.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Business Administration or equivalent experience from an accredited institution. CPA, ACCA is strongly preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in financial control, project management, management accounting or auditing field.
- Experience in a higher education or research funding organization setting is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Advanced technical Microsoft Office skills with advanced Excel skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in Vietnamese and English.
- Ability to work with faculty, staff, and students as well as community groups of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Rigorous and capable of high attention to detail over an extended period.
- Follows up and completes with precision, conscientious and diligent.
- Strives to achieve excellence and commit to the highest ethical standards and transparency.
