Bestchance Child Family Care is seeking a passionate and strategic Regional Manager – Early Years to lead and support a portfolio of kindergarten and childcare services across Victoria. This is a senior leadership role where you will influence quality outcomes for children, families and communities while supporting the professional growth of educators and service leaders.

The Opportunity
As Regional Manager – Early Years, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing the operations, quality and performance of multiple kindergarten and childcare services.
You will work closely with Service Coordinators, Centre Directors and Community Hub Officers, providing leadership, mentoring and strategic guidance to ensure each service operates at its full potential.
This role requires a balance of operational leadership, strategic thinking, financial oversight and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities Leadership
Lead and support Centre Directors and Service Coordinators to achieve high operational and educational standards
Provide mentoring, supervision and performance management for leaders across the region
Drive strategic initiatives that strengthen service quality and organisational growth
Support assessment and rating processes aligned with the National Quality Standard
Oversee the development and opening of new services
Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships with families, staff and the broader community
Collaborate with government and regulatory bodies including the Victorian Department of Education
Partner with local government authorities and community organisations
Advocate for early years services within the region
People Leadership
Lead recruitment, onboarding and professional development
Build strong, engaged and high-performing teams
Manage performance, workplace culture and employee engagement
Support leadership development and succession planning
Operational Excellence
Ensure services operate in line with the Education and Care Services National Law
Maintain compliance with the National Quality Framework
Drive continuous improvement and best practice across all services
Identify risks and ensure strong child safeguarding practices
Financial Management
Oversee portfolio budgets and financial performance
Monitor enrolments, occupancy and resource allocation
Review profit and loss performance and support sustainable growth
Work closely with finance teams to manage budgets and funding opportunities
Workplace Health & Safety
Promote a strong culture of safety and wellbeing
Ensure compliance with workplace safety policies and procedures
Manage incidents and maintain safe environments for staff and children
About You
You are a collaborative and strategic leader with strong operational and people management experience in early childhood services.
You bring:
Experience managing multiple early childhood services or regional portfolios
Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks
Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and business performance
The ability to inspire, mentor and lead diverse teams
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor of Education / Teaching or Diploma in Children’s Services
Leadership or Management qualification (desirable)
Minimum 3 years leadership or management experience
Valid Working With Children Check or VIT registration
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current Driver’s Licence
Ability to travel between services, including occasional overnight travel
