We offer an extra $0.75/ hr. shift differential for the evening shift and $1.50 for overnight shift. This position allows for a great work-life balance. However, you must be flexible to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Center for Community Resources is seeking Mental Health Support Staff to support mental health Crisis Residential Services for eligible consumers, as defined by DPW Title 55 Code Chapter 5240. This position works as part of a collaborative team alongside the Crisis Residential Team to provide timely, compassionate, and effective crisis residential services.
This position offers a starting pay range of $16.00–$18.00 per hour, based on experience.
Position Summary:
Mental Health Support Staff provide direct care and supervision to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises in a residential setting. This role supports resident safety, stabilization, and recovery by assisting with daily activities, monitoring behavior, and maintaining a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment.
Essential Functions:
- Provide supervision and support to residents to ensure safety and well-being
- Assist residents during periods of emotional distress using basic de-escalation techniques
- Observe and report changes in resident behavior, mood, or functioning
- Support daily living activities such as meals, hygiene, and structured programming
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive residential environment
- Follow program policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements
- Communicate effectively with clinical and program staff
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support facility operations
Qualifications:
Required:
High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in mental health, human services, or related field
Two years of direct mental health or related experience
Valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, Act 33/34 and FBI clearances will be required. Individuals who have accessed human services are encouraged to apply. EOE/ADA
