What You'll Do
- Manage a portfolio of 40+ grants and contracts, tracking deadlines, deliverables, budgets, amendments, and compliance requirements
- Maintain organized grant records and systems (CRM), ensuring all proposals, reports, and agreements are accurate and up to date
- Support program managers and staff in understanding contract requirements and tracking program outcomes
- Research, evaluate, and pursue new grant and contract opportunities
- Prepare and coordinate grant proposals, including timelines, budgets, and required documentation
- Collaborate with program staff, Finance, and leadership on proposal development and contract implementation
- Serve as a liaison between funders, partners, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and accountability
- Track and manage grant budgets with Finance; prepare invoices and financial reports
- Oversee compliance elements including MOUs, grant portals, and required registrations
- Prepare internal and Board reports on grant and contract status
- Complete administrative tasks (data entry, mail processing, SAM registration, reconciliations)
- Support community and fundraising events, including planning, coordination, and day-of logistics
What We're Looking For
Must Have
- 5+ years of experience in grant writing, grant or contract management, project management, or related work
- Strong written communication skills, including experience preparing grant proposals and reports
- Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously
- Experience collaborating across departments and with external partners
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Salesforce and HMIS
- Experience with Adobe, Canva, or similar design/communications tools
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in public administration, nonprofit management, communications, or related field
- Knowledge of social service programs or Family Resource Centers
- Familiarity with nonprofit budgeting or grant financial reporting
- Understanding of trauma-informed care or the Five Protective Factors framework
- Familiarity with Yolo County community organizations, government agencies, or funding landscape
