The Billing Specialist supports the administration of the financial/business functions of Ronald McDonald House.
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; finance/accounting courses beyond high school preferred
- At least two years of finance experience
- Experience in administrative support
- Understand and practice confidentiality
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly motivated, ethical and eager to learn

Position Requirements:
- Obtain information on Medicaid-eligible families requiring pre-approval and submit required forms to appropriate State agencies
- Invoice all applicable Medicaid-eligible families with appropriate State agencies
- Track payments from State agencies to ensure all funds received as invoiced. Research and resolve any differences.
- Work with operations personnel to improve the process of capturing Medicaid-eligible families
- Research possible reimbursement from other States for either Medicaid or private insurance
- Other duties as assigned

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, calculators, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours to Work
