Job Summary:
The Product Programs Coordinator (Community & Membership Engagement) supports the strategy of the Girl Scout Cookie and Fall Product Programs with a specific focus on community relevance, partner engagement, and member participation. This role identifies, cultivates, and supports booth, program, and event partnerships, ensures municipal and community compliance, and builds strong internal and external relationships that drive program access, sales, and visibility.
The Coordinator is responsible for delivering a high-quality experience for all members—especially new leaders, Juliettes, clubs, and Product Program volunteers. The role emphasizes thoughtful relationship-building, grassroots outreach, and meaningful connection with community partners, city officials, and volunteers. This role requires experience and consistent performance in project and relationship management, the ability to anticipate needs, proactively problem solve, and deliver excellent final mile execution.
Ideal candidates will have experience in sales, hospitality, or outreach and thrive in community-centered environments with a customer/member service approach. Candidates must be confident and comfortable supporting our organizational stakeholders and be able to build relationships, trust and brand loyalty with audiences including youth (K-12), parents/caregivers, volunteers, business leaders, internal staff, and community partners. They should be confident in making cold calls, presenting to groups, and working independently to meet goals and deadlines. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred, but not required. The Coordinator will work an alternate schedule during peak seasons to meet department initiatives and member needs including nights and weekends, including executing on events, supporting training opportunities, representing the organization and brand, and hosting girl experience programming and events.
Essential Functions:
Foster Collaboration, Teamwork and Culture: Build collaborative, productive relationships that are mission and vision focused supporting internal and external
stakeholders to ensure positive interactions and teamwork across the council. Successful collaboration and execution on outcomes increases member retention and fosters a positive and people centric culture furthering excellence and belonging.
Community Building, Relevance & Access:
Execute on intentional community building plans that respond to the needs of the communities we serve and drive engagement and participation in the Product Programs we offer.
•Identify and convert booth, brand, and event partners for cookie and fall sales.
•Ensure city and municipal compliance for booth sales and events.
•Represent the organization at local events, meetings, and through grassroots outreach.
•Meet community members where they are, understanding needs, responding with relevant solutions and providing new methods and tactics to participate in
Girl Scout Product Programs, adapting to new ways of membership engagement.
•Connect stakeholders with relevant Product Program information, tools and resources to respond to the needs of the communities we serve.
Resources and Communication:
Collaborate and support the development of guides, resources, training, and execute on proactive communications plans to connect and support members and increase Product Program participation. Translate community insights into feedback that drives the development of useful tools that support member success.
Cohesive Program Delivery: Execute cross-functional plans in support of participation and sales goals.
•Coordinate with Marketing, Retail, Membership, and other teams to align initiatives.
•Maintain knowledge of sales concepts, practices, and procedures relevant to the role.
•Support partnership rollouts, training, execution, and events.
•Perform administrative support duties, such as creating and maintaining records, and coordinating appointments/events with community organizations and
volunteers to enhance program efforts.
•Ensure timely delivery of materials and communications across departments and to volunteers and stakeholders.
Volunteer and Member Support Focus Areas:
Provide high-touch, mission-aligned support for various membership segments, including:
•Service Unit Volunteer Engagement: Support SU-level volunteers with tools and communication that enable local success.
•Juliette Support: Connect individually registered members (Juliettes) to opportunities, tools, and outreach.
•New Leader Support: Assist new leaders in understanding and successfully participating in Product Programs.
•Club & Community Program Support: Deliver resources and guidance to leaders and staff operating in alternate delivery models.
•Volunteer Onboarding for Product Program Roles: Ensure processes are followed to provide for a seamless volunteer onboarding experience. This
includes ensuring status, system access and roles, information dissemination and continued in season support.
Customer Service Experience: Execute on customer service touchpoints, ensuring a highly responsive outcome that supports both internal and external stakeholders with timely and accurate information. This includes, but is not limited to case queues, email inboxes, phone calls and voicemails, support requests via forms and systems, etc.
Goal Setting & Tracking: In collaboration with the supervisor, adapt plans to meet and exceed individual, department and organization goals for sales, participation, volunteer engagement, partner conversion, tracking performance, outcomes and metrics to inform effective responses and application of strategies to serve the communities assigned.
Accountability for Projects and Priorities: Responsible for time and project management that supports the successful execution of project timelines, tasks, and
assignments.
Support Product & Item Distribution: Support the department’s strategy related to distribution of product and items that are managed by the team. This includes, but is not limited to supporting or managing council cupboards, supporting the training of delivery agent teams, ensuring accurate inventory and process adoption for sites and locations they support, etc.
Reward & Experience Execution: Support the execution of relevant rewards and incentives that maximize sales of the Product Programs. This includes attending, supporting and executing on reward events and travel, as well as the timely and accurate distribution of rewards and items.
Represent the Organization: Represent Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas in all interactions with Girl Scouts, parents/caregivers, volunteers, short term corporate
volunteers, vendors, partners, donors, media, etc., to further the organization’s mission and visibility.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
•Minimum 2 years sales and/or recruiting, applicable customer service management and project management experience, or equivalent combination of education and practical work experience.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability to work independently within the framework of the council’s plan of work.
•Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to change in the work environment.
•Demonstrate and promote a climate of courtesy, respect and professionalism to coworkers, the volunteers served by this council, and others with whom this job puts them in contact.
•Must be able to travel within established geographic areas and council service centers, as necessary.
•If applicable, must have reliable transportation, hold a valid driver’s license and meet GSNETX driving record & automobile insurance requirements.
•Performs other duties, as assigned.
•Upon employment, employee must register as an adult member in the Girl Scout organization and subscribe to the tenets of the Girl Scout Promise and Law.
•Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, before and after hours, and on weekends, when required.
•Must complete and pass a criminal background check.
•Must be able to travel within established geographic areas and council service centers regularly.
•Must have reliable transportation, hold a valid drivers’ license and meet GSNETX driving record & automobile insurance requirements.
