We now have a vacancy for a Chef to join our catering team in a Bank capacity at Marine Court, our centre in Littlehampton.

We’re the UK fire family’s charity, providing timely clinical care and wellbeing support to members of the UK’s fire services and their families, helping them to adapt to physical, emotional and social challenges to adapt to conditions, injuries and illness and to transition to life after service.
Bank Hours
Hours to be worked as and when required and/or available to cover holidays, absence and increase in workloads on site. Hours available will often be advised at short notice.
Shifts will include, day time, early evenings, weekend working.
No anti-social hours or split shifts
Hourly rate
£15.62 per hour. This includes an annual leave contribution within the hourly rate.
The role
As a Chef you will work as part of our catering team, preparing and serving nutritious and well-balanced meals for our guests. Working alongside our catering assistants you will ensure food production and kitchen facilities comply with statutory and organisational standards.
You will have the ability to follow recipes and set menu’s ensuring our guests enjoy a variety of food during their stay. You will need to have catering experience providing good quality fresh meals. Support and training will be provided in line with the requirements for the role. Far more than a standard chef job, this role is vital to supporting and enhancing the stay for our beneficiaries to assist in their recovery. Your positive attitude and approach will help shape the environment within our centre and support those staying with us.
