Job Purpose
Be part of a high-impact, rapidly growing nonprofit that’s driving real change across Colorado! Water is one of Colorado’s most pressing concerns, and Resource Central’s Garden In A Box program is leading the way in waterwise conservation. Each year, in partnership with over 60 Colorado municipalities and water providers, we distribute more than 13,000 professionally designed, low-water garden kits tailored for Colorado yards. This position will play an essential role in the distribution of these Garden In A Box kits to participants across the state at events primarily in May and June but additionally in August and September, as well.
This is an in-person role that involves driving the company vehicle from the Resource Central Boulder office to and from event locations throughout the state. Most events are located throughout the Front Range in four main service regions: Northern Colorado, Central Front Range, Denver Metro, and Southern Urban Corridor. We have several events that require travel to locations in the mountains or on the Western Slope, including Durango, Grand Junction, Aspen, Eagle, Summit County, and Steamboat Springs. Hours may vary based on event schedule and are not guaranteed; Event Leads can expect an average of 4-9 hour days, three to five days per week during the season. Start and end dates may be flexible based on candidate availability and program needs. The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 -$22.00, in addition to mileage reimbursement, paid training, cell phone stipend, and accrued sick leave. We are looking for a passionate individual with exceptional leadership and customer service skills to help support participants in establishing vibrant, waterwise landscapes as the new norm in Colorado!
