Job Overview

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Stewardship Coordinator for our Northern California hospital in Sacramento, CA.

The Stewardship Coordinator will steward current donors, donor families, grateful patient (GP) alumni and families, and third party fundraising event organizer, all of which are crucial pieces for the success of the fundraising efforts at Shriners Children's-Northern California. The Stewardship Coordinator is responsible for the creation, implementation, oversight and management of the special programs and events related to donor relations, stewardship and cultivation. The pay range for this position is $51,100 to $63,875. Compensation is determined based on relevant experience and department equity.

Responsibilities

Donor Relations - 15%

Overall responsibility for all activities, outreach, correspondence and interactions with Shriners Northern California donors to share impact of their gifts, and to coordinate with Development Officers as needed to ensure donors are thanked appropriately for their support and invited to special programs and events related to stewardship

Data - 15%

Development and management of donor demographic and psychographic profiles to ensure relevance, reach, and satisfaction of donor communication and process
Maintaining complex data, keeping and updating detailed records, preparing contact reports, developing and maintaining systems and continually monitoring and improving processes

Communication and Special Events - 15%

Oversight and management of marketing and communications efforts and special events/programs tailored for current donors; and coordination with appropriate hospital and external partners for developing appropriate messages, stories and print, streaming or electronic collateral.

Volunteers - 15%

Provision of professional guidance and leadership to volunteers and other hospital/donor relations staff in order to develop and execute strategies and programs that deliver high quality donor relations programs.

Donor Recognition - 15%

Management of awards process for donors interested in recognition including: Researching donor history, merging any duplicate records to attain correct award level, ordering awards from awards vendor, proofing awards, maintaining inventory and filing all paperwork.
Work with SHC Legal to coordinate donor recognition for estate and trust donors whose instruments request recognition.
Coordinate recognition with family members and hospital staff for recognition presentations.
Maintain donor recognition and stewardship in system of record.

Ensures that routine and priority tasks are completed within established timelines.
Adhere to SHC attendance/tardiness policy (i.e. reports to work on time, uses paid leave times appropriately, etc.).
