Join CentraCare and make a difference contributing to our mission of improving heath and healthcare in our community by joining the Volunteer Services team as a Volunteer Program Specialist at the Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar! This position will primarily be responsible for volunteer management as well as overseeing the Gift Gallery at the Rice Memorial Hospital.
What You'll Do:
- Responsible for overseeing volunteer activities at assigned CentraCare entities.
- Responsible for volunteer recruitment, training and retention to ensure programs are adequately staffed with qualified, dependable volunteers.
- Responsible for serving as store lead for the Gift Gallery implementing marketing, inventory and overall store management strategies to achieve short and long-term sales goals.
- Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate.
- Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.
Schedule:
- Part Time | 50 hours every two weeks
- 5-Hour shifts | Monday - Friday between 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- No Weekends!
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years experience in health field, youth leadership and/or volunteer management required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Good communication skills both orally and written required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel essential.
