ProfessionLX specializes in
professional services where we engage our employees to empower them to excel
for our customers. We are currently seeking part -time Catholic Religious Education
Coordinator candidates to join our team in support of the US Air Force in RAF
Lakenheath. This position will serve as coordinator, teacher, facilitator, and organizer
of the religious education program for the RAF Lakenheath Catholic Parish. The
RE Coordinator is responsible for RE administrative functions, working closely with
the Chaplain to ensure budgets, program schedules, publicity, and other
required items are developed and implemented. Successful candidates will
possess a minimum of 1 year experience of in Catholic Religious Education position
and must be a practicing Catholic and received the sacrament of confirmation.<\/span>

WHAT YOU WILL DO<\/b>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>
<\/ul>Oversee Catholic Religious Education
Program<\/span><\/b>. Develop and
maintain the RAF Lakenheath Chapel Catholic RE Program for all Catholic
Parishioners. Ensure facility requests for RE programs, occurring in Chaplain
Corps facilities and in other base facilities, are filled out and submitted to
the Chaplain Corps staff to be processed in a timely manner. Ensure all
applicable facilities (i.e. Youth Center, classrooms, and local elementary
schools) are opened, equipped, and ready for use prior to the start of RE
programs for all Catholic RE programs. Provide and maintain an adequate level
of supplies and inventory of consumable materials, RE resources, and equipment.
Coordinate and facilitate the annual Vacation Bible School (VBS), or
equivalent, program with other personnel as applicable. <\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Program Marketing.<\/span><\/b> Coordinate and arrange effective
advertisements of RE programs and events. Ensure compliance with rules/laws in
regard to use of any copyrighted materials<\/span>
<\/li>Administrative Functions.<\/span><\/b> Attend all requested meetings to
report on RE activities, events, and budget updates. Assist the Chaplain in
developing the following in regard to RE Coordinator programs as appropriate:
annual calendar of events, Chapel tithes and offerings fund budget,
appropriated fund budget, and core volunteer training requirements. Submit to the Chaplain an annual RE calendar and budget for approval. Record
attendance at all RE programs and events and report numbers to the Chaplain within
3 workdays of an event’s conclusion. Maintain a continuity file for RE program;
submits after -action reports electronically to the Chaplain for all Catholic RE
programs within 5 calendar days following the close of each event outside of
weekly RE classes. Prepare sacramental records for submission to the
Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS) and notification to Church of
baptism of individuals receiving sacraments. <\/span>
<\/li>Budgeting.<\/span><\/b> Ensure execution and electronic
tracking of the approved budget.<\/span>
<\/li><\/b><\/span>V<\/b><\/span>olunteer Coordination.<\/span><\/b> Coordinate with the
Chaplain and chapel volunteers to create effective RE programs for the Catholic faith group. Provide recommendations for annual volunteer
recognition to the Chaplain. Ensure recruiting, training, and managing of
volunteers for their Catholic RE program. Ensure that background check
qualified, adult supervision and leadership are present at least 30 minutes
prior to scheduled start times of all RE activities and will remain present
until the last participant under the age of 18 has departed. Maintain
electronic attendance records: names, dates, and rosters of all participants
and volunteers for the review of the Chaplain. Ensure all volunteers who work
directly with children have the required record checks completed during the
initial hiring phase of the contract. Ensure all personnel with childcare
requirements receive and wear the appropriate badges when conducting their
duties.<\/span><\/span> <\/span>

<\/p>
Possess a minimum
of 1 year of Catholic RE leadership experience, preferably directing a Catholic
RE program in a Catholic Church or military chapel setting.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Must be a
practicing Catholic in good standing and have received the sacrament of confirmation
and possess and demonstrate an understanding of the basic doctrines and worship
practices of the Catholic faith.<\/span>
<\/li><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Must possess the
ability to constructively work well with others in a multi -faith environment.<\/span>
<\/li>Must
be able to efficiently organize and manage diverse program elements.<\/span>
<\/li>Possess at least
1 year of experience using Microsoft Office functions.<\/span>
<\/li>Must be able to
clearly communicate, orally and in writing, the needs and goals of the Catholic
RE Program to chapel staff, volunteers, and customers.<\/span>
<\/li>Must understand
the basics of planning, developing, and executing a budget.<\/span>
<\/li>Must be proficient in
the use of social media, print, and email marketing and able to craft quality
marketing and advertisements to be used to promote Chapel programs.<\/span><\/span>
