Our esteemed client has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer in a well established manufacturing environment. This is a full-time position with benefits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify quality improvement parameters by statistical methods for manufacturing processes.
- Develop useful metrics to gauge & encourage increased customer satisfaction.
- Ensure daily project priorities are complete; Assist in issue resolution via Quality Systems.
- Investigate claims & perform root cause analysis; Develop corrective action plans.
- Perform qualify engineering analysis & create response to complaints.
- Work cross-functionally to formulate correction actions; Ensure implementation is complete.
- Review/update procedures to ensure inspection level & checkpoint compliance.
- Partner with Engineers, Design Teams & Project Managers to improve inspection techniques.
- Provide technical support to cross-functional areas.
- Establish good working relationships with Estimator, Project Manager, Engineers, etc.
- Maintain overall responsibility for quality control system procedures.
- Manage overall quality objectives by the analysis of collected data & approved recommendations.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering concentration preferred
- 7-15 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering
- Plastics industry background highly preferred
- Medical & Aerospace experience highly desirable
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- IQMS highly desirable
- Lean Manufacturing experience highly desirable
- Exposure to 5S and Six Sigma preferred

Physical Demands:

Work Environment:
- Work performed in a shop environment.
- Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise.
