Our esteemed client, an expanding, progressive manufacturer in Orange County, is seeking an experienced Process Engineer.
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Department: Engineering
Job Summary: Directs all process-related activities in the Molding Department. The Process Engineer establishes the molding cycle for all molds/parts and tests all new molds prior to production. The Process Engineer supports the activities of a 24-hour, 5-6 day/week operation. This person should constantly provide training to improve the understanding of the molding process of all Molding Department personnel. The Process Engineer investigates quality and productivity improvement programs. They work with Molding, Quality Assurance, Production Control, Toolroom, as well as the President.
Responsibilities: The Process Engineer is responsible for the above activities. The Process Engineer has primary responsibility for the molding process and molding department productivity. This person is responsible for establishing the molding process on all new molds. The Process Engineer is responsible for identifying needed tooling repairs and improvements and interfacing with the Toolroom to facilitate those actions.
Job Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in technical field or equivalent experience.
- 5-10 years of injection molding process experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and training skills.
- Good written and verbal communications.
- Must assume responsibility for molding process and product quality.
- Willingness to work extra hours, as needed.
