The Family Support Associate role is critical in instructing and providing guidance to homeless and at-risk children in activities designed to promote social, physical, intellectual, and spiritual growth in the childcare zone.
Primary Hours:
Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
flexible for 1 late night per week, as needed
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Skill Building: Leads group play to develop social, behavioral, and academic skills, focusing on following instructions and cooperative play and family engagement.

Position Requirements:

Ability to work with minimal supervision
-
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Child Development, Child Development Associate Certificate or a related field is highly preferred
-
At least 2+ years of experience working with children, preferably in a daycare, school, or shelter setting

Demonstrated understanding of developmental milestones for both infants and school-aged children
-
Ability to read, interpret, and lead weekly lesson plans and supplemental developmental activities

Completion of Mandated Reporter Training within first 30 days of hire
