📍 St. Augustine, FL | 🕒 Full-Time & Flexible Shifts Available
Total Annual Compensation Potential: $38,760 - $44,250 Includes base pay, applicable weekend differential, and bonus opportunities.
$1,000 Sign-On Bonus ($500 paid at 90 days; $500 paid at 1 year)
Schedule
Monday 9:30am to 1:30pm
Friday 11:00am to 10:30pm
Saturday 8:00am to 10:30pm
Sunday 8:00am to 10:30pm

St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS) is seeking a dedicated and resilient Youth Care Worker to join our team and provide direct care and supervision to children and teens overcoming trauma, abuse, and behavioral health challenges.

🧑‍🏫 Your Impact as a Youth Care Worker:
As a Youth Care Worker, you’ll be a mentor, guide, and role model, helping youth learn structure, accountability, and resilience. You’ll work closely with clinical and residential teams to ensure children are safe, supported, and given every opportunity to thrive in a family-style home setting.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct supervision and behavior management for youth according to individual treatment plans.

Serve as a positive role model and maintain a professional, caring demeanor at all times.

Intervene effectively in crisis situations using approved physical restraint techniques when necessary.

Facilitate group discussions and recreational activities that promote emotional growth and peer connection.

Prepare and serve meals, shop for groceries, and help maintain a safe, home-like environment.

Perform housekeeping duties, assist with laundry, and oversee daily living activities.

Ensure accurate documentation of daily events, behaviors, and interventions.

Monitor and document medication consumption and communicate medical needs as required.

Encourage and support personal hygiene and health practices in youth.

Attend and contribute to staff meetings and treatment team reviews.

Assist with transporting youth to school, medical appointments, court hearings, and other essential outings.

Participate in new intakes, referral interviews, and fundraising events.

Report facility maintenance concerns to leadership for safety compliance.

Uphold all organizational policies, procedures, and licensing regulations.

Complete onboarding training and maintain all required annual certifications.
Qualificationsâś… Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required
-
Two years of experience working with youth with behavioral or mental health needs (preferably in a residential setting), or a Bachelor’s degree in a related mental health field

Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record

Free of disqualifying offenses as outlined in the Affidavit of Good Moral Character

Strong ability to maintain structure and consistency in a therapeutic setting

Passion for teamwork and collaboration with staff, children, and families

Commitment to providing a home-like, supportive, and safe environment for youth
