The Philanthropy Associate provides administrative and organizational support to the Individual Giving and Special Events team within the Philanthropy department. Utilizing strong project management skill, the Philanthropy Associate contributes to the success of the Individual Giving and Special Events team by performing operational functions of the fundraising strategies and tactics of the team.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position is $45,000.00. We offer robust benefits to full-time employees, including:

Key Responsibilities
- Supports front-line fundraisers within the Philanthropy Department in their administrative and organizational tasks.
- Prepares Daily Acknowledgement letters
- Prepares monthly pledge statements
- Supports the Senior Director of Philanthropy with the Moonshot program administrative duties
- Supports the Philanthropy Officer (Annual Fund) on logistics of annual fund activity, including, preparation and submission of creative briefs for campaign letters, emails, and social media posts, and the coordination of video content.
- Supports the Philanthropy Officer (Annual Fund) with preparation of monthly renewal correspondence to entry-level donors.
- Updates donor information and maintains data cleanliness through deactivations and merging records in Tessitura.
- Preparation of nametags for donor benefits events and meetings.
- Manages Founders Salon activity for each repertoire within the opera season.
- Distribute performance reports, for each opera in any given repertoire, weekly, beginning six weeks prior to the opening of that opera.
- Facilitates ordering of donor gifts.
- Coordinates holiday card mailing project for Patron+ donors.
- Receives returned mail for Philanthropy department; investigate and update records where needed.
- Assist with large batch mailings for the Special Events team.
- Assist with staffing at HGO donor events, and the big three special events as requested and needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
