Hudson Institute seeks interns to support our work on human rights and national security challenges in Asia. If selected, you will conduct in-depth research on issues related to human rights violations in China, North Korea, and Southeast Asia. Subjects can include, but are not limited to democracy and governance challenges, technology and authoritarianism, atrocity prevention, refugee relief, religious freedom, human trafficking and forced labor, among other subjects. In addition to being exposed to critical issues in the field, interns will spend significant time discussing these issues with their scholar. Onsite interns also attend weekly educational events featuring experts from Hudson Institute and across Washington, DC.

Responsibilities
- Conducting substantive research for reports and articles;
- Co-authoring op-eds and drafting brief portions of reports;
- Keeping the scholar and team up to date on current events;
- Assisting the scholar with research projects and presentations;
- Attending meetings and networking with other scholars in the field;
- Editing and conducting research for articles, op-eds, reports, and briefing papers;
- Assisting with administrative tasks and event support.
