DescriptionWe accept applications on a rolling basis for full-time, year-long, post-graduate fellows to work with our San Francisco-, Washington, D.C.-, and Asia-based teams. When submitting your application, please indicate your proposed timeframe and the outside funding source you hope to obtain for this fellowship. If you are selected for a post-graduate fellowship, you may be asked to produce a fellowship proposal.
Applicants are requested to have relevant work experience and/or academic background in at least some of the areas in which we work: International Law, Development, Economics, Public Policy, Environmental Justice, and Human Rights. Applicants are required to have excellent communication, research, writing, and critical thinking skills.
Applicants who are invited to submit a proposal should outline their proposed areas of work and how that contribution will meet Accountability Counsel’s organizational needs and serve in furthering our mission. We encourage you to review our website for more information about each of our program areas (Communities, Policy Advocacy, Research) before applying.
Asia-focused Post-Graduate Law Fellows will be fully integrated within our Asia team, assisting communities in the region to file and advance complaints with international accountability mechanisms. Fellows will assist with factual and legal research, complaint development, and ongoing complaint support — empowering communities to demand respect for their environmental and human rights. Fluency in English is required.
