DescriptionAdvocates is seeking a DSP/mentor to provide one-on-one support to female who needs assistance with personal care and going out in the community. The mentor must be comfortable with meal prep and feeding, assisting with personal hygiene tasks, running errands in the community, and various housekeeping tasks.
Preferred candidate will be responsible, outgoing, friendly, efficient, and willing to be a team player. The ability/willingness to assist if needed for absences. Candidate also must be comfortable with dogs (small service dog in training), willingness to wear a KN95 or N95 mask due to medical issues. Must be hardworking, reliable, and communicates efficiently.
Hours/Days of Work: 35 hours a week, Flexible schedule
Payrate: $19/hr while providing direct service. The hourly rate for indirect/training is $16 per hour.

- Must be 18 years of age.

- Education & Experience: GED or High School Diploma preferred. Applicable job experience preferred.
- Desired Skills and Abilities: previous experience working 1:1 in a related service environment preferred. Knowledge of disability related issues preferred.
- Other: The individual does not have the authority to set the staff salary in this model. The Mentor is paid at the provider’s rate for the service based on an assessment of the specific support needs of the individual in the areas of behavioral support, communication support, and physical support needs.
