Industry and Philanthropy Engagement Lead

Job Description
Safal Partners is seeking a skilled Industry and Philanthropy engagement lead to build and manage a network of partners to support corporate and client projects. This role is responsible for developing and owning an engagement strategy from partner identification through active collaboration and is accountable for converting relationships into financial and in-kind contributions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an engagement strategy that identifies and prioritizes industry and philanthropic organizations aligned with corporate and client goals, in coordination with the funder and other partners
- Build mechanisms for partners to contribute to specific activities or initiatives across contract and project workstreams
- Secure financial and in-kind contributions if and as needed to complement project planning
- Plan and host industry roundtables, partner briefings, and targeted outreach events to sustain engagement and grow participation
- Develop communication materials that document partnership impact and surface new partnership opportunities
- Track and report engagement outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in large-scale, national partnership development and management with private and public sector funders
- Demonstrated success securing financial or in-kind contributions from partners
- Experience planning and facilitating convenings, roundtables, or executive briefings
- Strong external-facing communication skills, demonstrated experience representing an organization to funders, executives, and program stakeholders
- Understanding of federal cost-share, leveraged-resources, or public-private partnership requirements
- Experience developing MOUs, partnership agreements, or gift/contribution agreements
- Experience communicating partnership impact through data — dashboards, metrics, ROI reporting
- Excellent writing skills and demonstrated work producing high-impact partner-facing materials, briefings, and outcome reporting
- Ability to travel as needed, work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple partner relationships simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in public policy, education, workforce development, public administration, or a closely related field
- Familiarity with national AI policy or technology readiness initiatives
- Experience working within or alongside federally funded programs
- Experience authoring federal-style reports, policy briefs, and technical guidance documents
