About the role
We are currently seeking qualified Therapy Assistants to join
our team at Bethanie Gwelup Aged Care Home. The roles will be
offered on a casual basis.
The role will include:
- Implementing therapy and lifestyle programs for individual
residents and groups
- Adapting activities to resident’s level of function under
the guidance of a Physiotherapist or Occupational
Therapist
- Addressing a variety physical and psychological needs and
providing opportunities for meaningful engagement for
residents
- Maintaining accurate documentation, both paper and computer
based
About You
You have a passion for working with people of all abilities and
backgrounds. You are enthusiastic and creative and can support and
cultivate our residents’ strengths and interests. You also
bring:
- Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or
equivalent)
- Previous experience in a Therapy Assistant role ideally in
aged care
- Ability to communicate clearly in both a verbal and written
capacity with care recipients, families and team members
- Willingness to obtain vaccinations (minimum of 1 COVID-19
and annual flu)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or National Police
Clearance (or willingness to apply for one)
