Job Description
The Advancement Officer plays a key role in supporting Cleveland Community College’s mission by fostering meaningful relationships with alumni, donors, and community stakeholders. This position is responsible for developing and managing alumni engagement initiatives, overseeing the Foundation’s membership-based donor programs, and coordinating annual giving efforts to increase philanthropic support for the college.
Physical Demands
ADA requirements for this position include critical thinking skills with the ability to process information, analyze data, make assessments, and exercise good judgment to make decisions; possess ease of mobility within the work environment and other areas of campus; and effective use of all forms of communication (oral, visual, auditory), including use of computers. Be able to lift weights up to 10 pounds on a regular basis.
Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (marketing, public relations, communication, business administration, or related field) from a regionally accredited institution; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience working with Microsoft Office products. Skills and Abilities Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. Capability to work both independently and within a team. Ability to think creatively with openness to new ideas. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. An appreciation for and the ability to articulate the virtues of a community college education
