HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSIONThe Philanthropy Events & Donor Engagement Manager develops strategies and oversees the planning and execution of fund-raising and stewardship events for the Philanthropy Department. This position reports to the Director of Philanthropy Events & Donor Engagement.WHAT YOU WILL DO
Responsible for oversight of Donor Engagement Team, including but not limited to, interviewing, hiring, training and performance management.
Strategize, plan, and implement fund-raising and stewardship events for major donors and prospects.
Carry out details and logistics of all philanthropic events and lead/participate in future event development.
Establish and negotiate underwriter benefits, identify and solicit underwriting prospects and is responsible for fulfillment of benefits.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?The ideal candidate will have experience in large event planning and logistics, leading and mentoring a team, donor relations, and fundraising development, while comfortable working both independently and with a team.
JOB EXPERIENCE
2+ years’ experience in donor relations, development, marketing, public relations or related field required.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in related field required.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of fundraising, donor relations and stewardship best practices required.
Able to operate Philanthropy software such as Raiser's Edge, with the ability to generate complex queries, exports and reports.
Superior communication and persuasion skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with a wide range of constituents, colleagues and personalities.
Able to operate moderately complex computer software programs.
Able to creatively produce effective programming for a variety of audiences.
Able to apply creating thinking in problem solving situations
Must be proficient in organization and have experience working on multiple projects with competing deadlines.
Able to provide and receive constructive feedback.
