The Koch Internship Program (KIP) is a paid, 10-week experiential learning program run by Stand Together Fellowships that offers meaningful work experience at non-profits all over the country tackling some of our nation’s most pressing challenges. Throughout your internship with a partner organization, Stand Together Fellowships hosts virtual professional development sessions every Thursday from 1-5 pm ET, wherein you will be mentored by seasoned professionals as you craft a capstone project on the topic that matters most to you. Interns will receive either a $5,500 or $3,300 stipend from Stand Together Fellowships depending on whether they are participating full-time (40 hours/week) or part-time (28 hours/week).
NTUF Communications Team: Form our advocacy and legislative research into deliverable products targeted at a variety of media, academic, and grassroots groups. Research NTU and NTUF issues and provide assistance to Director on message development. Have an interest in developing internal communication documents and processes for staff (e.g. Style Guide). Best Fit: Communications and Journalism majors.
National Taxpayers Union Foundation is a non-partisan research and education organization dedicated to showing Americans how taxes, government spending, and regulations affect them. Through data collection, analysis, and commentary, we empower citizens to engage in the critical policy debates of our time and hold elected officials accountable.
Successful candidates will have exceptionally strong writing skills. You will be expected to compose letters, press releases and memos, and to help edit materials that will be presented to board members, all levels of media, and the public.
This is a deadline-driven position that requires the ability to both work independently and function in teams to craft effective messages and proposals. You will need to assist with media and marketing campaigns from start to finish and coordinate between the fundraising, development, and research departments.
Knowledge of social media development tools and practices is a plus. We plan to aggressively expand our online efforts to reach new audiences and platforms.
