Nemours is seeking a Director, Philanthropy- Corporate Alliance to work out of our Wilmington, DE location.
The Director, Philanthropy – Corporate Alliance will play an important role in increasing Nemours’ capacity to meet its growing programmatic and funding needs by developing long-term relationships with corporate partners and carry a portfolio of individual donors supporting the pipeline for the major gifts program. This person will report to the AVP, Corporate Alliance and Acquisition and will work with colleagues to create and implement plans for prospect management and donor stewardship with an emphasis on acquiring and upgrading strategies for corporate partners. This position will support additional Enterprise fundraising needs and priorities including collaborating with clinicians and Institutional Advancement colleagues to support the grateful patient program. The Director will be required to travel and assist with special events as needed, particularly with corporate sponsors.
Essential Functions:
- Manage a portfolio of individual and corporate prospects. Actively practice moves management through the benefactor life cycle of identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship that would increase overall levels of giving. Documents all donor related activities using Raiser’s Edge donor system.
- Develop creative narratives with colleagues to communicate urgent and compelling funding priorities for corporate partners. Identify and cultivate new partnerships while elevating existing partnerships.
- Stay current with Nemours funding opportunities, priorities, and program growth to make appropriate recommendations for proposals.
- Work in partnership with Institutional Advancement, program staff, and volunteer leadership on specific relationship building and fundraising activities throughout the year including grateful patient and special events priorities.
- Collaborate with the Data Management team to ensure segmented lists of donors for appeals and timely acknowledgement letters.
- Take on special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree required.
