This includes at or near as: Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan and Indiana.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
We are looking for a Divisional Regional Philanthropy Partner who will Identify, engage, cultivate, solicit, and steward current and prospective donors from a division perspective. This position will provide significant divisional support and expand donor financial support of the American Red Cross. The role will also provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.
WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD
- Implement overall fundraising strategy for assigned donor portfolio and/or line of service needs at the Division level. Manage and develop corporation and/or foundation accounts for 7 figure donors and more complex donor solicitation that crosses region or division boundaries.
- Analyze information about potential contributors for strategy development. Make decisions about which individuals and/or companies to target as donors.
- Implement Division fundraising growth initiatives. Build capacity to identify, cultivate and solicit donors and blood drive sponsors by providing educational, technical and program support.
- Participate directly in the solicitation of funds from high-level contributors. Responsible for portfolio with target of $3,000,000+.
- Provide guidance to development staff.
The salary range for this position is: $110,100 - $135,000

You will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan based on annual individual and organization performance.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline required.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of fundraising and/or sales leadership experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Must have extensive knowledge of fundraising and/or sales principles and techniques in large organizations. Must have successful track record in solicitation of large fund amounts. A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required.
Skills & Abilities: Excellent organizational, collaborative, analytical, presentation and communication (interpersonal, oral and written) skills. Good project management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of fundraising database systems (e.g. Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce.com). Ability to work on a team.
Travel: 25-40% business travel may be required.
