The Koch Internship Program (KIP) is a paid, 10-week experiential learning program run by Stand Together Fellowships that offers meaningful work experience at non-profits all over the country tackling some of our nation’s most pressing challenges. Throughout your internship with a partner organization, Stand Together Fellowships hosts virtual professional development sessions every Thursday from 1-5 pm ET, wherein you will be mentored by seasoned professionals as you craft a capstone project on the topic that matters most to you. Interns will receive either a $5,500 or $3,300 stipend from Stand Together Fellowships depending on whether they are participating full-time (40 hours/week) or part-time (28 hours/week).
About us
Engine Foundation (Engine) is seeking a Policy Fellow for the Summer of 2024. Engine is a D.C.-based non-profit advocacy organization that works to promote policies that encourage the growth of startup ecosystems. We focus on issues at both the local and federal level that impact startups and their ability to scale nationwide and globally.
These issues include:
Access to talent (high skilled immigration and STEM education);
Access to capital (tax and capital formation);
International Trade;
Data security and privacy; and
Strong intermediary liability protections (free speech, sensible copyright policies, reduced regulatory burdens on intermediaries).
You can learn more about us by visiting our website.
We are looking for a KIP participant to help with our policy advocacy and grassroots work in Washington, D.C. Your work would include engaging and substantive tasks such as:
Coordinate and carryout grassroots startup outreach;
Writing articles and blog posts on policy issues;
Helping with larger research projects;
Attend events that are relevant to our D.C. outreach; and
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments.
As of this posting, Engine is currently a hybrid work environment. This will be reevaluated as the time goes on, and Engine will be flexible with KIP participants around fully remote, hybrid, or in-person work.
