The Executive Director is a passionate and seasoned leader who leads a team of experts in policy analysis, research, and advocacy to advance human rights in the province.
Reporting to the Deputy Commissioner, the Executive Director, Research and Policy is responsible for implementing the Commissioner’s vision by leading research initiatives and developing strategies to prevent and eliminate discriminatory practices, policies and programs within the Province. They are responsible for developing and implementing policy strategies, producing policy reports and briefs, and engaging with stakeholders and decision-makers.
A member of the senior leadership team, the Executive Director provides expert advice to the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner on leading research, trends, and policy, and contributes to the office’s strategic priorities to promote efficient and effective fulfilment of the Commissioner’s mandate.
