Role: Charity Manager
Location: Solihull
The Lounge team is growing, and we’re looking for a Charity Manager to support the Lounge Foundation in all of its life-changing work.
This role is a rare and special opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference. The Lounge Foundation is a charity on a mission to empower and support Lounge’s community and have a lasting impact on individuals and communities alike through gifting grants that can support a range of important projects.
As Charity Manager you will need a varied skillset; including being able to build and nurture relationships, support grant decision making and work with the wider Lounge team to help share significant stories as a brand.
What you would do at The Lounge Foundation:
- Account management of existing and new relationships in the charity sector.
- Review, and accept grants within the foundation.
- Support in making decisions and advise on the charity spend.
- Work with the Lounge internal team to tell the story of ‘The Lounge Foundation’ via the relevant channels.
- Support hosting and organising charity events.
- Manage the general cashflow for the foundation including reporting from a finance perspective.
- Work on a multitude of projects throughout the year.
- Outreach to relevant charities that the foundation wants to work with and build long lasting, meaningful relationships with them.
- Take care of general volunteer management and opportunities.
- Organise internal fundraising events.
- Develop and scale all fundraising activities.
- Keep the trustee’s updated on the financial state, and general activity of the Foundation.
- Keep on top of all contracts, mailing lists, systems are kept up to date, and comply.
- Manage ongoing governance of the charity, including: developing and maintaining policy documents such as our grant making policy, conflict of interest processes, procedures and register, risk management policy and register.
- Maintain charity commission register records.
We would love it if you:
- Been involved in charity campaigns previously.
- Have experience in charity operations and governance.
- Are able to exceptionally manage many tasks at the same time.
- Are passionate about making a difference and understand how amazing volunteers and supporters are.
- Are super personable, and great at developing long-lasting relationships.
- Are naturally organised and great with time management.
- Are used to communicating with different audiences.
- Are excited to get your teeth stuck into developing The Lounge Foundation.
