Intervention, Inc., a Colorado non-profit, provides services within the criminal justice system across the state of Colorado including sobriety monitoring (UAs/BAs), electronic monitoring, probation supervision and community corrections.

OVERVIEW
Assists in day-to-day operations of Security office. Guides clients toward pro-social behavior and protects the safety of the staff, clients and community at large through monitoring and enforcing policies, rules and regulations with residential, non-residential and out client services clients.

Starting Pay: $20 - $23/hr (based on shift differential)
Hours: 4/10s schedule, with ½ hour for lunch

JOB DUTIES

Carry out all duties/responsibilities in accordance with Company values, policies and procedures, applicable laws and contractual obligations.

Complete and meet all responsibilities and expectations of Community Corrections Specialist

Serve as resource to other staff regarding procedures and standards
-
Act as change agent in the implementation of new practices, including modeling desired behavior and training and coaching staff.

Assist in the planning, development, implementation, monitoring and supervision of assigned program/office.

Train staff as needed on variety of topic areas
-
Provide direction and guidance to other staff on routine and non-routine assignments, monitor compliance with policies, procedures and standards.

Provide timely and accurate input and feedback to manager on performance of staff, address issues as appropriate
-
Assist in ensuring daily operations run efficiently, including but not limited to scheduling staff, assigning work, and providing coverage
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Some related college level coursework preferred.
- 2 years customer service/security and corrections experience
SKILLS

Computer skills – Basic ability to enter data, generate reports and create communications from variety of software programs and databases

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Ability to remain calm and deescalate stressful situations

Knowledge of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.

Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Company staff, stakeholders, and with diverse client base.

Must pass background check and have ability to access state criminal databases

Ability to walk about a multi-floor building quickly and frequently

Ability to lift and move furnishings while conducting searches

Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 lbs.

Must have current CPR/First Aid certification within 6 months of hire
- Valid drivers license preferred
