Associate I, Accounting Services (Hybrid)

You will assist with basic financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and special projects related to Pew and its subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
- Process month-end recurring and correcting journal entries
- Prepare Excel based monthly reconciliations and schedules, along with appropriate supporting documentation
- Process deposits, prepare credit memos and process returned funds
- Communicate issues and any suspected irregularities to the accounting manager
- Coordinate with members of the Finance department to complete accounting related processes
- Assist in tying out financial reports and other documents as needed
- Review payment vouchers for the year-end accrual process
- Assist with preparation of the Form 990 as requested
- Assist with preparation for the consolidated financial statement and 401(k) audits
- Contribute to and participate in tasks and special projects as assigned
- Assist with the organization of documentation in the Accounting unit
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience and generally one year of accounting experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel
- Excellent organization skills, detail oriented, thorough, strong multi-tasking/time management skills
- Ability to quickly understand Pew's accounting process and experience managing change
- Collegial personality and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
- Successful candidate must be confident, with strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to develop productive, trusting relationships at all levels
