POSITION SUMMARY
As part of the management team of the Employment Services (ES) Department, the Professional Manager supports the CHS mission by providing leadership, supervision, training, and overall coordination of department functions required to successfully support the Individuals receiving services and supports in adherence to funding source requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Affirm the Success of Team Members assigned by recruiting, interviewing, hiring, scheduling, and providing new team members the Department of Mental Health (DMH) and Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) service training: providing constructive and timely feedback through scheduled performance evaluations or during everyday interactions to assigned employees; handling discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy; and implementing measures focused on motivation of the Employment Services team to improve performance, quality, or efficiencies.
- Project a Positive Image of CHS by interacting with staff members, external agencies, parents or guardians, and providers in a professional manner.
- Deliver Quality Services to Individuals in their pursuit of employment by ensuring individuals receive quality exploration/discover, planning, and placement in their quest for competitive and integrated employment. This includes oversight of a team of job coaches that will ensure individuals receive the services and supports needed to achieve the highest level of independence as possible on the job.
- Create a Culture of Communication by attending and leading as needed all administrative staff meetings, keeping the management team informed of developments or concerns; working with team members to “problem-solve” issues or concerns as they arise, and participating in all ISP meetings or other team meetings regarding individuals receiving services and/or supports. This responsibility does extend beyond the typical workday schedule to ensure all employees are supported and management notified of urgent events.
- Oversee Documentation Requirements by conducting weekly audits of those supervised to ensure compliance with funding sources and department guidelines for both timeliness of documentation as well as quality.
- Carry On-Call Phone in a rotational basis, as directed by Assistant Director. During this time, the Professional Manager must communicate any and all scheduling changes and coordinate job coach coverage due to call-ins, etc.

- Capable of learning proprietary systems quickly, experience in ATS, HRIS/EIS systems a plus
- Capable of qualifying, testing, commissioning and bonding as a Registered Notary Public, if requested
- Experienced in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Outlook, is a plus)

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree (BA or BS) from an accredited university and/or a combination of education and direct experience equal to four years.
- Must possess the following certifications or be able to successfully complete upon hire: CPR and First Aid.
- Previous supervisory experience.
MISCELLANEOUS EXPERIENCE
- Must provide proof of valid driver’s license and current personal vehicle insurance.
