About the role:
Anglicare is searching for a Senior Merger and Acquisition Manager to join our amazing team. In this new and exciting role you will be leading specific acquisition, divestment and corporate development activities to create organisational value and thereby assist in the achievement of Anglicare’s Vision, Mission and Value goals.
As a Senior M & A Manager, you will (not limited to):
- Lead management of acquisitions, divestments and related corporate development activities, ensuring that the rationale, strategy, risks, valuation and financial impact associated with the projects are fully considered and developed with a high degree of rigour and commerciality
- Manage the due diligence processes associated with such acquisitions, divestments and corporate development activities
- Manage the appointment and use of external advisers required to assist Anglicare in any acquisition and divestment activities
- Negotiation and structuring of acquisitions, divestments and corporate development activities
- Identify and develop acquisition, divestment and corporate development opportunities in partnership with Strategic Business Units and the Executive Committee
- Support the execution of acquisition, divestment and corporate development opportunities through the application of analytical techniques, capital structuring solutions, commercial rigour and strategic assessment
About You:
- High level understanding of Anglicare’s service as well as knowledge of the NFP’s industry to understand transaction value drivers and assess strategic business trends Qualifications and Experience
- Degree qualified, ideally with a strong commercial finance degree/MBA
- 7+years’ experience working in the transaction team of a major Bank or insurer or in a M&A transaction firm
- Hands-on experience with acquisition deals, coordinating due diligence, valuations, cap tables, applying capital (debt & equity)
- Ideally you will have some experience with deals at a Private Equity or Venture Capitalist firm
- Contemporary understanding of market commercial terms on instruments like convertible notes
- Covid vaccination, strongly recommended
